GLITCH est le troisième album de VANESA BROWN, sorti le 25 septembre 2015 sous sa propre marque BROWN YOY Records. L’album a été partiellement financé via PledgeMusic, avec dix pour cent de tous les profits versés à Save the Children. Depuis 2013, le mouvement Black Lives Matter et de nombreux artistes afro-américains revendiquent leur engagement en musique, en affirmant leur identité et en dénonçant le racisme ambiant. VV BROWN est l’une des chanteuses les plus solidaires du mouvement. Avec son clip choc, le morceau SACRIFICE dénonce la suprématie blanche, soutenu par les discours samplés de Malcolm X, John F. Kennedy et Martin Luther King. Autant de voix qui martèlent l’urgence de reprendre la parole.

Connue sous son nom de scène VV BROWN est née le 24 octobre 1983 à Northampton en Grande Bretagne. C’est une auteure compositrice interprète, mannequin, et productrice. Elle commence à apprendre le piano classique et jazz à l’âge de 5 ans et entraine sa voix dans une école de musique. À 12 ans elle joue de la trompette jazz, et le dimanche chante dans une chorale gospel à l’église. Ses références musicales à cette époque sont très éclectiques, et vont de Aretha Franklin à Ella Fitzgerald en passant par Dizzy Gillespie et les Sex Pistos !
